Canac is one of the largest manufacturers of cabinetry in North America and has been a cabinetry leader since 1967.

The Canac plant in Thornhill, Ontario, houses a state-of-the-art production machinery, which facilitates a continuous supply of "frameless" cabinets of various dimensions, designs and applications. These cabinets are assembled according to a (metric) modular system from standard components that are pre-fabricated in quantities corresponding with anticipated production.

Canac was the first major North American kitchen manufacturer to recognize the advantages of the frameless system of manufacturing cabinets. Canac cabinetry has been completely frameless since 1981, and continues to be an industry design leader. Canac products encompass well over 50 different styles and over 400 door style/color combinations.

Canac's full service turnkey program removes the selection and installation stress out of the cabinetry experience. Single-source service – handling every stage of the cabinetry process – is Canac's commitment to satisfying its customers.

Canac cabinets are specified not only for kitchens, laundry areas and bathrooms, but also for bedroom built-ins, library, bar, and entertainment units. All Canac cabinets meet or exceed the recommended minimum construction and performance standards for kitchen cabinets as outlined by the Kitchen Cabinets Manufacturers Association (KCMA).

  The Benefits of Frameless Cabinetry

Canac pioneered frameless cabinetry design several decades ago and is now the largest manufacturer of frameless cabinets in North America. The key benefit of frameless cabinetry is that it creates a very sleek, finished look, which is much-sought-after by todayıs consumers. Frameless cabinetry allows full access to space and efficient use of cabinetry materials. To create the same look, manufacturers of framed cabinetry use full overlay doors. This requires extra material for the doors and drawers in order to conceal the face frame. The cost of the extra material is then passed onto the consumer.
